F

ood is an essential part of the human existence, so it makes sense that food often plays a photographer_Camelita Pena (1)big role when the down market travels around the cities of Texas. Either, exploration, interviews, or just a good place to hang out and take in the culture, many of us plan trips based on photographs we have seen and articles (or blogs) we have read.

The Asia Market on Evers, in San Antonio, is a god sent for such flavors and fresh vegetables and meat. Our Interview with the owners, Kristina Zhao and her Father Ye Zhao for The Down Market’s Broad Taste series was a day of humor and analysis on cultures that all reside here in San Antonio and the common denominator that connects us all… good food.
